Shramika Vikasa Kendram

SVK’s core focus is on children, with special emphasis on girl children. We strive to protect the best interests of children through ensuring holistic rights to children.

Shramika Vikasa Kendram is a non-profit organization established in the year 1992 in Nagarkurnool District, Telangana. As part of a UNDP-sponsored intervention, SVK formed women’s groups, facilitated thrift and credit activities, and worked on liberating girl children working in cotton fields. Self Help Groups (SHGs) at the village level were federated into a Village Organization [VO] at the Panchayat level. Efforts culminated in the formation of Mandal Shramika Mahila Samakhya [MSMS] a representative body of all the SHGs in Peddakothapally Mandal.

Psycho-Social Support/Counselling

Sakhi OSC has a skilled Counselor to support the women affected by violence and instill confidence among them through proper counseling. 452 affected women were supported through Psycho-social counseling during this year 2023.

Protection of Child Rights through Community Empowerment:
Child Rights Protection through Community Empowerment is one of the major projects implemented by us with the support of CRY / Child Rights. The Project aims at preventing child marriage and child trafficking and ensuring quality secondary education and health and nutrition for boys
